Problems

  1. Solve (del^2 z) / (del x^2) + z = 0 given that when x=0, z=e^y and del z / del x = 1
  2. Solve del^2 z / del x^2 +3 del z / del x – 4z = 0 subject to the conditions that z=1 and del z / del x =y when x=0
  3. Solve del^2 z / del x del y = x/y subject to condition del z / del x = log x when y=1 and z=0 when x=1
  4. Solve del^2 z / del y^2 = z given that when y = 0, z= e^x and del z / del y =e^-x
  5. Solve del^2z/delx^2 = a^2z given that when x=0, delz/delx =a sin y and delz/dely=0
